Brinscall Sports Club
Brinscall Sports Club is the home of sport and social life in the village. Based at Armstrong’s Cricket Arena on School Lane, we bring cricket, bowls and football together around a friendly clubhouse, with a licensed bar, function space, and a warm welcome for members, players and visitors.
Whether you want to play, support a team, or simply enjoy a drink after the game, there is a place for you here.
Membership keeps the club going and gives you a real stake in village sport. As a member you can use the clubhouse and bar, support our cricket, bowls and football sections, and stay involved with fixtures, events and socials throughout the year.

Founded in 1852, Brinscall Cricket Club is one of the oldest clubs in the North West. We compete in the North West Cricket League and run senior and junior cricket throughout the season, from All Stars and Dynamos through to open-age sides.

Our bowls section is a welcoming part of the sports club, with a green on site for friendly and competitive play. New and experienced bowlers are encouraged to get involved. Come along during the season, meet the section, and we will help you get started.
Football is a key part of life at the sports club. The ground is used by local teams, including junior sides who train and play here, and the clubhouse is a natural meeting point on match days.
If you would like to play, volunteer, or find out about teams using the ground, please contact the club and we will put you in touch with the right people.
The function room is available for evening hire, with space for up to 95 guests, a licensed bar, and access to the patio. Hire costs, function rules and the booking form are on our event hire page.
